Child And Family Counselor - Family After School Program - Part TimeAmazing opportunity to join Riverside's Family After-School Program as a Child & Family Counselor!Riverside's Family After-School Program provides a structured, therapeutic after-school environment for children ages 612 in the Cambridge and Somerville communities who have experienced challenges such as neglect, homelessness, and trauma. The program offers clinically intensive, trauma-informed services that help children build coping skills, self-expression, and healthy peer relationships, while actively engaging families through regular events and collaboration.As a Child & Family Counselor, you will work closely with program staff, family members, and collateral providers to support the emotional and behavioral well-being of the youth served in the program.In this vital role, you will:Plan, organize, and lead therapeutic groups and daily activities that promote social-emotional growth and skill-building.Ensure children are safe, supported, and appropriately supervised at all times.Implement behavior management strategies and participate in crisis intervention when needed.Partner with clinical case managers on individual treatment plans and goal implementation.Assist with transportation by driving and/or monitoring children as they arrive at and depart from the program using your personal vehicle or our program's transportation vehicleSchedule: Part Time, 16 hours/weekThis program is open during the following hours:Summer: Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.School Year: Monday through Friday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.Pay Rate: $20.60/hourlyWhy You'll Love Riverside We make a true difference in people's lives through rewarding work.
