Part-Time Aviation Maintenance Technician

General Duties:
Flexible schedule weekends, no benefits
Help installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of aircraft
Adjust and connect or disconnects wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand tools or power tools
Perform duties, such as furnishing tools and supplies to other workers; cleaning work area, machines, and tools; and holding materials or tools for workers
Assemble and disassemble machinery, equipment, components, and parts
Clean or lubricate machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, power tools and cleaning equipment
Help mechanics maintain and repair vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical equipment
Position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures and other objects, for assembly or installation, hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment
Assist with preheating, launch and recovery, servicing, and fluids
Towing of aircraft
Safety:
Comply with all safety aspects of your position
Be familiar with Ameriflight's safety policies
Follow Ameriflight's practices and procedures
Keep your work areas clean and free of hazards; correct unsafe conditions when encountered and report those that you can’t personally correct to a supervisor
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach horizontally and vertically with arms
Sufficient dexterity to manipulate small objects and print or write legibly
Sufficient physical ability, strength, mobility and stamina to lift, carry, push or pull objects which may frequently exceed 70 pounds in a series of functional tests which clearly simulates the work environment
Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time
Requires the ability to be sedentary for extended periods of time
Shall perceive the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of this job
Requirements:
Must hold a valid FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be eligible to work in US
Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance
Ability to gain airport access badge
Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance
Requires the ability to understand and retain information provided verbally and written

Valid Driver's License required and must meet all company insurance criteria
