Exam Proctor
Overview
New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) seeks an examination proctor to oversee in‑person and occasionally virtual examinations for undergraduate and graduate students.
Responsibilities
Oversee in‑person and occasionally virtual examinations for NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and Master’s in Biomedical Sciences students, including those requiring disability‑related accommodations.
Strictly enforce academic policies and exam‑specific regulations.
Monitor students continuously throughout the testing period, provide seating/testing instructions, and manage check‑in and check‑out processes.
New proctors must obtain training from head/lead proctors and attend NYITCOM’s Academic Affairs annual proctor meeting at the beginning of each academic year.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or higher required.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks.
Well organized and computer efficient.
Must be able to move quietly about the examination room(s).
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Ability to enforce NYITCOM/NYIT policies for exams.
