Overview In this role, you will build and operate a cloud-based data platform that underpins analytics, reporting, and data product development across the organization. You’ll work with data engineers, architects, analytics teams, and stakeholders to keep the platform scalable, secure, and reliable. You’ll apply Databricks administration, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering best practices to deliver high-quality data solutions. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role that shapes data capabilities at scale within a mission-driven healthcare company. Compensation / BenefitsCompetitive compensationAnnual bonus or long-term incentivesTotal Rewards packageRemote/colocated options ResponsibilitiesData Platform Operations: administer and maintain Databricks environments for analytics and data engineering workloads; manage configurations, performance, capacity, and stability; monitor health and troubleshoot issues; support lifecycle management across dev, test, and prod environments.Cloud Infrastructure & Automation: develop Terraform IaC solutions; support Azure data infrastructure; implement automation to improve consistency and reliability; collaborate with infrastructure and security teams.Data Engineering Enablement: build and support data ingestion frameworks; collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize workloads; support structured and unstructured data workloads; help identify and resolve data performance bottlenecks.Governance & Security: support Unity Catalog-driven governance; implement access controls and governance standards; ensure security and data management compliance; contribute to metadata, lineage, and data quality.Continuous Improvement: evaluate new tools and platform capabilities; recommend scalability and productivity improvements; document standards and procedures; participate in incident response and post-incident reviews. Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related disciplinesExperience administering Databricks environmentsExperience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practicesExperience supporting Azure cloud services and infrastructureExperience developing and maintaining data ingestion solutionsStrong SQL and troubleshooting skillsExperience supporting production environments and operational workloadsUnderstanding of data modeling, data governance, and modern data architecture conceptsCollaborative teamworkProactive problem-solvingEffective communication with cross-functional stakeholdersDatabricks administrationTerraform / Infrastructure as CodeAzure cloud services and infrastructure
