Role OverviewWe are looking for a Business Data Architect to join a Global Finance Transformation. Operating within the data workstream of a high-profile, global Transformation Program, you will focus on delivering a cutting-edge Finance data lake.In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between Finance and technology teams, translating complex business requirements into scalable, trusted data structures. You will collaborate closely with local and international stakeholders to shape, own, and govern business-driven data models that enable consistent global finance reporting, planning, and analytics.Key ResponsibilitiesData Modelling & Architecture: Shape and own business-driven data models that provide a solid foundation for consistent finance reporting, planning, and analytics across the organisation.End-to-End Data Flows: Design and oversee seamless data flows from diverse source systems straight into a centralised global finance data hub.Bridge Business & Tech: Act as the primary translator, converting complex finance business requirements into robust, scalable, and technically sound data structures.Data Governance: Establish, champion, and enforce strict data definitions, standards, and governance policies to ensure completely trusted and highly reusable data assets.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal transformation teams and broader business functions to support the overarching global program goals.RequirementsProven Expertise: Substantial experience in data architecture or data modelling within complex, large-scale corporate environments (10+ years of experience is highly desirable).Finance Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of core finance processes and data dimensions, including the intricate interactions between local and group-level reporting.Technical Landscape: Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with modern cloud data platforms such as Lakehouse architectures, Snowflake, or Databricks.Stakeholder Alignment: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of aligning and building consensus between business stakeholders and technical execution teams.Mindset & Tools: An AI-first mindset with solid IT literacy across standard executive tools like Excel and PowerPoint.Qualifications: A Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) credential is advantageous but not mandatory.
