Fleet Maintenance Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible the of Coke Northeast fleet and warehouse vehicles for a region of the company. This includes trucks, tractors, trailers, fork trucks, driver and warehouse jacks. This role is responsible for the maintenance of shops, accessory tools, and equipment such as batteries and chargers on electric driven equipment. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure both preventive maintenance and repair activities meet performance and compliance standards, focusing on quality and regulatory adherenceShop organization, cleanliness and policies and practices in conjunction with the Fleet DirectorCollaborate on licensing, permitting, disposals, transfers, and additions with team membersManaging the parts inventories, movement, and levelsEnsure adherence to company and government standards through effective management of compliance measures.Develop supplier relationships and execute strategic vendor selection.Ensure vehicles maintain a professional appearance with proper markings.Recommendations for improvement and innovation in the fleet maintenance and repair areasManaging the Fleet P&L in conjunction with the Fleet DirectorVehicle disposal decisions in conjunction with Fleet DirectorProvide the capital request for equipment and facilities improvements/repairs in the shops.Repair procedures and compliance to industry standardsTrain the GM and Distribution Supervisors/Managers on proper fleet operation and maintenance.Conduct technician training consistently 40 hours per technician per yearJOB REQUIREMENTSAssociate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, five to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceClass A Commercial Driver’s License, Valid Med Card and Clean MRV preferred 3+ years of experience in mechanics and Heavy Equipment repair required. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferredKnowledge of repair and maintenance methods, equipment, techniques, parts, processes, pricing, suppliers, industry standards and best practices used in vehicle repair and maintenance. Knowledge of DOT laws, federal regulations, best practices, fleet makes & models, specifications, operations, and industry standards regarding large fleet equipment, and material handling equipment.Skilled in problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and valid conclusion drawingKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Fleet Management Software, SAP Software, and Preventative Maintenance Programs 75% Travel to the Coke Northeast Sales Centers and Production CentersPhysical requirements: Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs, overhead reach, grasp, and lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs.Valid driver’s license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance that meets or exceeds company requirements
