Staff Electrical Engineer

Job Description About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support high-voltage power system design with a focus on electrical isolation, power distribution, and system safety architecture.This role is responsible for ensuring safe separation and reliable operation across 50V DC, 600V AC, and 2kV DC systems, including power distribution design, isolation requirements, and compliance with industry safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and validate power distribution systems for 600V AC 3-phase and split-phase loadsDefine electrical isolation requirements across 50V, 600V AC, and 2kV DC domainsSpecify clearance, creepage, and dielectric withstand requirementsDesign isolation barriers compliant with UL508A / IEC 60664-1 standardsPerform power budgeting, ampacity analysis, and load balancingAnalyze phase imbalance and support mitigation strategiesSize protection devices and feeder conductors per NEC requirementsSupport DFMEA and system safety documentationParticipate in technical design reviewsRequired Qualifications 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in high-voltage systems, power distribution, or panel designExperience with 600V AC and/or 2kV DC electrical systemsStrong knowledge of electrical isolation design (clearance, creepage, dielectric coordination)Experience with UL508A or IEC 61439 / IEC 60664-1Hands-on experience with 3-phase and split-phase power systemsExperience with load calculations, ampacity analysis, and power system protectionFamiliarity with NEC requirements for high-power electrical systemsPreferred ExperienceEV systems or high-voltage power electronicsETAP, MATLAB, or similar power system modeling toolsElectrical panel or high-voltage system design experienceDFMEA experience in safety-critical systemsToolsExcel / Google Sheets for system modelingCAD tools for electrical designEngineering analysis and documentation toolsCompany DescriptionPutting people at the forefront is our priority at Technical Talent Group.
