We are seeking a reliable and skilled Commercial Handyman to perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across our commercial properties. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the building, supporting both tenant satisfaction and operational efficiency. May require travel to other client sites within the Phoenix, AZ area.
High school diploma or GED.
2-4 years of experience in general building maintenance or handyman work.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
Experience in a commercial or multi-tenant environment.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
OSHA 10/30 certification or other safety training.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders for extended periods.
General Maintenance & Repairs
Perform routine building maintenance tasks including drywall patching, painting, ceiling tile replacement, and door hardware repairs.
Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
Handle basic electrical tasks including replacing light bulbs, ballasts, switches, and outlets.
Repair and maintain furniture, cabinetry, and other fixtures as needed.
Facility Support
Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and setup of meeting spaces.
Maintain common areas including lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, and exterior grounds.
Preventive Maintenance
Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Identify potential issues and report them to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Vendor Escort & Coordination
Escort and monitor third-party vendors and contractors working on-site.
Ensure vendors comply with building policies and safety procedures.
Communicate with property management to coordinate vendor access and scheduling.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing tasks.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces and storage areas.
Assist with building inspections and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
