Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities are:Core Product Control functions includingDaily Product control activitiesFormal PL productionBalance Sheet Review and allocationsResponding to queries from stakeholders including Controllers, Operations, Front Office, and AuditProblem-solve daily reporting challenges quickly and accuratelyMonth End work includingGeneral Ledger substantiationReconciliation of reported P&L to ledger and identify cause and solution of any differences Analytical Review & Commentary (Income Statement and Balance Sheet)Contribution to month end reporting packs and stakeholder MI requestsPost or Review journal entriesAdditional ResponsibilitiesImprove and challenge existing controls and processes Involvement in new business approval processProvide coverage for Controllers Team Project workPerson SpecificationThe following skills and experience are required for this role:Basic understanding of financial securities and accounting principlesStrong Excel knowledgeEffective written and oral communication skills including presenting reliably to senior leadershipHigh attention to detailAbility to work with large amounts of dataAble to prioritize workload to meet daily and monthly deadlinesPrimary Location: Jersey City Full Time Salary Range of $95,000-$115,000.About UsJefferies is a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm that provides advisory, sales and trading, research, and wealth and asset management services.
