EP Gerber & Sons Inc now consists of four divisions: Gerber Lumber & Hardware (GLH), Gerber Wood Products (GWP), Hillside Hardware (HH), and Solid Dimensions.Benefits & Job DetailsFull Benefits-Medical/Dental/Vision/STD/LTD/Life, 401K, HSA10D PTO & 10D HolidayProfit-Sharing PlanEmployee Discount Work Schedule: 6:00 am-4:30 pm M-THStatus-FT positionOvertime periodically occursWorks on-site Reports to the GWP Plant ManagerDuties and Responsibilities:Operate and maintain your machine.Set up equipment and monitor basic tooling sharpness and quality.Assist in general quality control and reports concerns to supervisors.Perform routine maintenance and notify management of issues.Keep work areas clean and organized.Assist in general production when neededFollow all safety protocols and procedures.Credentials, Education, and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent work experience.Basic mechanical aptitude: prior manufacturing experience is a plus. Familiarity with safety laws and regulations. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Good attention to detail and ability to follow directions.Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and organizational skills.Basic mathematical skills.Consistently meet established production goals with accuracy & efficiency.Environment and Physical Working Conditions:Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 25-75 lbs frequently.Work also requires the ability to climb, reach, pull, stoop, crawl, and bend.Exposure to fumes, odors, and loud noises-must wear safety gear, including eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes and a respirator when necessary.
