Fire Alarm Project Manager
Job DescriptionWe are actively seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of construction projects. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in fire alarm and life safety systems who can successfully lead multiple projects from preconstruction through close-out. The right candidate will play a critical role in ensuring project success through leadership, coordination, and technical expertise. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong backlog, collaborative leadership, and long-term career growth.ResponsibilitiesLead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, scheduling, and project close-outPrepare and submit monthly project status reports outlining progress, risks, and critical issuesDevelop and manage project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocationSecure required permits and verify subcontractor insurance complianceProvide overall administrative and technical leadership for assigned projectsMaintain project documentation and oversee correspondence trackingQualifications8+ years of construction experience requiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Proven experience managing projects from start to finish successfullyStrong background in electrical and fire alarm commercial constructionKnowledge of industry, state, and local codes related to fire alarm and life safety systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and architectural drawingsStrong ability to build and negotiate relationships with owners and subcontractorsMinimum 4 years of experience leading, mentoring, and evaluating teamsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in engineering, business, or a related fieldExperience working for an electrical contractor on large-scale construction projectsIndustry certifications related to fire alarm or life safety systemsExperience with infrastructure or complex project environmentsFamiliarity with alternative delivery methods and sustainability practicesCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $100K - $130K (depending on experience)Performance bonusesStrong benefits packageStable project backlogCareer advancement opportunitiesApply / ContactFor confidential consideration, contact Lee Stevicks directly at (605) 705-3635 or send resumes to lee.stevicks@gogpac.com
