Engineering Technician
MUST BE A US CITIZEN (ITAR REQUIREMENT). Support a Fortune 500 Aero-Defense Company as an Engineering Technician.Responsibilities:Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development, assembly and integration of Space Vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Participates in the development of sub-system and system test methodology. Assists with setting up and tests complete prototype and flight units and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.Basic Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.Willing to work any shift and cover extended work weeks as requiredDemonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly with a high attention to detailHands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipmentPreferred Qualifications:Comprehension with reading drawings, process specification, and work order instructionsExperience working in clean room environmentsProficient in use of precision measuring instrumentsExperienced in the spacecraft production and test methodologies
