Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor's office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures.Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office proceduresTake vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMRAssist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting)Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and educationManage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directedMake post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer serviceOpen, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and suppliesMaintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA complianceMedical Assistant Required Skills and Experience:High School Diploma or GED requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experienceCMA or RMA certification preferredExperience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environmentDetail-oriented, professional, and patient-focusedAbility to travel between local office locations, as neededProficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Medical Assistant Benefits OfferedHealth Insurance (Single & Family plans available)Life InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) plan with Company MatchEmployee Discount ProgramPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysMedical Assistant Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
