Quality Engineer (Aerospace)
Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: Greenville, SC Job Description:USPRO Talent Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations in Greenville, SC. This role partners closely with inspectors, engineers, and leadership to maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards, manage non-conforming material processes, support audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production.The Quality Engineer will serve as a key point of contact for the Greenville site and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inspection activities, calibration systems, customer documentation packages, and process improvement efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Non-Conforming Material (MRB) processCoordinate and support internal and external audit activitiesMaintain and oversee the calibration systemServe as the primary Quality point of contact for the Greenville locationSupport deployment of quality system improvements across sitesComplete and maintain AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) packagesDevelop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, PPAP documentationSupport compliance with AS9100 and AS13100 requirementsCollect and analyze non-conformance data and process capability metrics (Cpk)Drive root cause and corrective action activities (8D, DMAIC, PDCA)Support shipment readiness including final inspections and certification documentationCoordinate information exchange between Greenville and CT operationsSupport customer portal reporting (P&W, GE Aviation, Siemens, GE Power)Coordinate training tracking programs with HRSupport engineering with tooling, process qualifications, and Gage R&R / MSA activitiesAssist with metallurgical testing coordination and qualification effortsSupport EHS and safety initiatives across operationsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience in a manufacturing or aerospace quality environmentStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyExperience supporting MRB, inspection, or audit-related activitiesStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work cross-functionally across engineering, inspection, and operations teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office toolsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field preferred)Experience with AS9100 and/or AS13100 quality systemsExperience preparing AS9102 FAI packagesExposure to PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, or Gage R&RInternal or registrar audit participationNADCAP audit exposurePC-DMIS familiarityCMM operation or programming experienceExperience working within aerospace customer portals (Pratt & Whitney, GE, Siemens)Metallurgical testing or P&W LCS certification exposureAdditional InformationHands-on role supporting inspection, documentation, and production quality systemsOpportunity to serve as a site-level quality resource within an aerospace manufacturing environmentCross-functional exposure across engineering, inspection, and operations teamsStrong opportunity for growth within a structured AS9100 environmentMilitary experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.Equal Opportunity Statement:USPRO is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, disability and/or other protected categories.
