About ASARCO Grupo Mexico ASARCO LLC is a subsidiary of one of the world's largest Copper producers, Grupo Mexico, which ranks third in the United States in Copper production. ASARCO LLC is a fully integrated miner, smelter, and refinery of copper in the United States with over 2,800 employees spanning across five sites in Arizona and Texas.POSITION OVERVIEWWe are looking for motivated students with a strong interest in the mining industry. Our internship program is 10 weeks long, in which you will receive important industry training and get involved in meaningful real-world projects like planning a program, designing a process, or implementing technology. The culmination of your program will include an opportunity to present your work to management at ASARCO & Grupo MexicoComplete an inventory off all HR policies and procedures, identify benchmark practices and basic inventory, working with Functional leaders to create missing documents.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReview existing Policies and Procedures to verify accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current departmental practices.Develop and update Policies and Procedures to support current departmental objectives and improve process consistency.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESExcellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.Time management skills in performing multiple projects with various team members.Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and make recommendations.Proficient with Microsoft Office products.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMust be enrolled in an accredited college or university on a full-time basis.Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.Strong interest in human resources and organizational development.A core value of ASARCO LLC is "Safety First."
