Free base employee only medical insurance401K Retirement plans with a 4% match for all colleaguesOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within your property and across the world!Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activitiesFun, elegant atmosphere with amazing colleagues!Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Engineering Assistant Director, responsibilities and essential job functions as Senior Plant Mechanic on staff include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceTroubleshooting mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electrical systemsProvide PMs and service on Laundry Valet Equipment (Pressers, dry-cleaning, dryers and washers)Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually PMs on HVAC (AHUs, EFs, SFs, Cooling Towers), 12th Floor FCUs, Health Club Equipment (cardio fitness, pool & spa) and Kitchen Equipment (clean drains, grease traps, gas/charcoal burners, steam/water solenoids)Monitor building systems via Building Automation System and assist in performing routine maintenance on the controls for all HVAC EquipmentQualify & Perform Engineering Shift Duties as necessaryQualificationsQualifications:Must be able to speak, read and write in EnglishMust be able to use computer for routine documentation/presentation and research solutions to problems (parts source and procedures)Must be able to stand, walk 2/3 of the working shift which is flexible to meet the needs of the department and hotelAbility to learn to read and understand blue printsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in either written, oral, diagram or schedule formPrevious experience in hospitality industry is an assetPrevious experience desired with operating a pool and spa3 to 5 years of experience required working in an environment troubleshooting mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systemsAbility to troubleshoot and provide necessary electric repair and maintenance to motors, starters, breakers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.Ability to provide PMs of all electrical equipment and updating of appropriate logs.Ability to perform preventive maintenance in guestrooms such as FCUs on a 4-pipe system, TV on a central distribution Sonifi System, toilet/faucet/shower/drains, and telephoneAbility to assist operating engineer as neededAbility to take meter readings, record temperatures and pressures in heating and cooling plant and analyze data to determine focused repair tasks.Ability to participate in energy conservation programs in the hotel.Graduate of Building Operator's Course Level I & II or Pool Operator's Course or approved Refrigeration/HVAC/Electrical Course are a plusAfter two years in this position as Plant III, an individual desiring to further their engineering career can qualify with satisfactory performance as a Plant II, by qualifying and performing shift duties as well as completing two of the following: 1) complete the Building Operator's Course Level I, 2) complete Building Operator's Course Level II, 3) complete Operator's Course for Pool/Spa Operations, or 4) complete an approved Refrigeration/HVAC/Electrical Course.Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftPeriodic belly crawling, crawling through holes and small openings and crawling over and under pipes in restricted spacesAble to use appropriate personal protection equipment to: lift anywhere from 10 to 50 pounds routinely,knowledge to rig material handling equipment to maneuver equipment heavier than 50 pounds safelywork around noisy machinery, air compressors, motors, etc during operationwork around fumes or airborne particleshandle toxic or caustic chemicalsWet or humid conditions inside as well as outdoor weather conditionsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.We are an equal opportunity employer.
