HPM provides independent physician practices specializing in musculoskeletal care with professional business development, marketing and back-office support typically seen in much larger organizations, thereby enabling clients to start and/or grow their private practice beyond what might otherwise be feasible (while maximizing clinical service and patient care).Health Plus Management is seeking an energetic, patient-centric and detail-oriented Chart Prep to support appointment flow by maintaining the records with medical, administrative and ethical requirements. Chart Prep’s are responsible for collecting necessary forms, documents, and patient medical records to ensure a smooth experience before and at the beginning of their appointments.ResponsibilitiesCreate chart folders (includes adhering of all labels and hole punching) for new patientsResponsible for reviewing all charts prior to the doctor's appointment to ensure that all medical records are on filePull charts daily for patients who are scheduledReview and prepare patient charts to include demographic information, previous x-rays, tests, etc.Make sure that the dates of service are accurately recordedCommunicate as needed with physicians and other health care professionals to obtain additional informationMake sure patients feel welcome as soon as they walk in the door by delivering quality and compassionate careAnswer incoming calls, take messages, and complete outreach to patients in a courteous and professional mannerSubmit files/documentation to physicians and others as requested for review, quality assurance checks, and other purposesObtain records from outside sources for preview prior to the office visitRespond to written requests for patient information and calls from other facilitiesCopy patient records requests and/or complete records requests from outside sources, adhering to timelines for completionCollect all necessary paperwork and authorizations needed for billingScan information to patient's electronic recordComplete additional administrative tasks, as neededKnowledge And Experience1+ years of relevant medical experience, preferredKnowledge of EMR is a plusKnowledge of medical terminology/coding is a plusStrong computer knowledge and windows program including Microsoft word/excelSkills And AbilitiesBilingual (English/Spanish) requiredExcellent verbal and written communicationExceptional organizational and time-managements skills - the ability to multi-task is a mustAdaptability and flexibility while working in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving ability and aptitudeOutcome-focused, with an ability to work under pressureA solution-oriented mindsetA strong sense of urgency and focus in accomplishing tasksPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-2pmPay: $18 per hour
