Job Category: Clerical Requisition Number: CASHI001108 Posting Details Posted: August 23, 2024 Part-Time Locations Batesville, IN 47006, USA Job Details Description Location/Department: Business Center - Business Office PRN Job Summary: Opens and processes all forms of payment (cash, check, credit card) and contractual allowances received from patients, insurance carriers, dietary, payroll deductions, rents and other non-receivable accounts with accuracy and timeliness. Balances, batches and scans all entries made into the system. Reconciles all suspense accounts regularly. Maintains and reconciles team member payroll deductions monthly. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Assist volunteers with sorting all incoming mail received from post office. Separate all Business Office mail between payments & correspondence. Open all payments & separate by patient accounts receivable & non-patient accounts receivables for posting. Retrieve supporting documentation for bank EFT deposits from various payor/clearinghouse websites. Enter/post remittance advices (EFT & check payments) to respective patient accounts. Scan all batches into the system. Ensure all batches are indexed & scanned appropriately. Complete Daily Cash Reconciliation worksheet. Secure deposits & finalize reconciliations in onsite safe in bank bags. Establish & monitor team member payroll deductions bi-weekly. Reconcile Suspense accounts on a routine basis & determine resolution. Reverse all non-sufficient fund (NSF) checks as they are returned by the bank. Send NSF letter to responsible parties & request replacement payment by cash or money order as NSF checks are returned. Other duties as assigned by Director Required Skills/Abilities: Strong data entry & communication skills Must be able to operate a computer & other basic office equipment Education and Experience: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent 2 years relevant experience Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting & use of hands Occasionally may need to lift up to 25 lbs
