Remote Part-Time Assistant Controller (QuickBooks Required)

*** Remote - Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager - $40/hr ***Brandon Clark with Connexa Search Group is working with a growing, multi-entity company to find a part-time, fully remote Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager.This is a permanent, direct-hire role to become a W2 employee of the company. This is not a contract or temporary position.THE OPPORTUNITYThis is a fully remote, part-time opportunity to own the accounting for one focused business unit within a larger company. You will live in QuickBooks day to day as the primary accounting resource for that entity, reporting to the Controller, with a structured handoff so you step in with context, not a mystery.THE SCHEDULEHours vary depending on where the business is in the monthDuring month end close, expect hours to run close to 40 for that weekThe last two weeks of the month are typically lighter, closer to 20 hours, depending on what is going on in the businessThis is not a 40 hour a week role overall, but you do need to be available for phone calls and email Monday through Friday, 8 to 5Flexible on how you structure your time as long as you are responsive during business hoursWHAT YOU WILL DOOwn day-to-day, full-cycle accounting including journal entries, accruals, and GL maintenanceWork in QuickBooks all day, every day, this is the core system for the roleRun month-end and year-end close for the entity, delivering accurate and timely resultsPrepare and review GL reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesReview payroll-related transactions for accuracy and proper recordingSupport corporate accounting with reporting, analysis, and consolidationBe available for phone calls and emails Monday through Friday, 8 to 5WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA is a plus5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experienceQuickBooks experience required, this role works in QuickBooks all day every dayMicrosoft Great Plains experience is a nice to haveProven ability to work independently in a remote environment and stay accessible Monday through FridayBENEFITSTeam members who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefitsWe are recruiting for several other career opportunities and always appreciate great referrals.
