Dispatch Assistant

Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Dispatch Assistant for our field operations. Voted "Best Place to Work" for the past 7 years in a row, JJA is a dynamic, fun environment with significant career opportunities to further grow and develop professionally.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:Scanning and filing documents.Updates all POs based on tags.Maintains all invoices for AP closeout every 8th of the month.Responsible for sending field employee dispatches electronicallyUpdate daily dispatch-related employee and job files.Communicate with superintendents, foremen, and field employees as needed.Organize and disperse weekly paychecks to field employees.Responsible for entering time off requests into the database, & calendarsAbility to successfully input missing hours for employees.Populate CP vendors checklist with trucking orders for PLA/CP jobs (On Excel).Update PO book for validation of follow through on PO'sNOTE: These duties listed are meant to describe the general scope of the work. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs within the organization.QUALIFICATONS:A high school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of work experience, preferably in the construction industryComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other construction related software skills requiredExcellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detailBe self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creativeAbility to effectively multi-task under solid pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer serviceBi-lingual in the Spanish and English language required.Experience with 811 (call-before-you-dig) a plus.OTHER:Hours can be between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm (40 hrs per week), Monday - Friday.Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.WHY JOIN JJAJoseph J.
