DevOps Engineer

Job Duties: Build and release production support and events at App Continuous Deployment of various application and Services deployed to the production environment using Ansible. Utilize technical skills such as Ansible, Splunk, GIT, Shell and Python for automation, deployment, and monitoring of various services. OEL Patching, Kernel and DB upgrades, performance monitoring and tuning of various UNIX and Linux hosts (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux). Manage automation/configuration management using Chef, Ansible, or an Equivalent. Designing, implementing fully supported automated CI/CD processes. Developing and implementing Software Release Management strategies for various applications Review, repair and modify software programs/code and unit test to ensure technical accuracy and reliability of programs. Create Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management and binary sync process. Debugging and production validation of logs and binaries. Participate in structured and documented post-change system testing, enhancing tests as needed when functionality is added. Designing technical architecture and Develop cost-effective solutions using various configuration management tools to make infrastructure compliant with the companies cloud policies along with ensuring high availability. Leveraging cloud SDKs to interact with various AWS services from the application and set up automated monitoring to service outage. Job Requirements: Required Masters or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related. Travel/relocate to various unanticipated US locations. Location of Work: Santa Clara, CA.
