Material Handler/Fabrication Technician - 2nd shift

2nd shift schedule: Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:30pm (plus $3.00 shift differential pay) Department: Fabrication (Material handling, laser, press brake, weld, metal finishing). Reports to: Fabrication Supervisor Overall Responsibility Move materials (sheet/WIP) as needed to support fabrication (unload trucks, move material to/from various FAB departments). Load, unload sheets and parts off laser. Assist press brake in bending parts (2-man jobs). Assist weld with weldments (tacking, kitting, prepping, etc). Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand. Key Job Duties (not exhaustive) Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc. Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications. Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications. Follow company policy and standards. Able to operate fork lifts and hoists. Keep work centers clean and orderly. Able to take and follow directives. Required Skills and Experience 2+ years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience & Forklift driving experience. Desired Qualities and Attributes Ability to work and function as a team. Self-motivated and can work without much supervision. Strong communication skills (written, verbal). Is safety minded and puts safety first while preforming job duties and functions. Educational Requirements High School Diploma SPS is an equal opportunity employer.
