CNC Operator
U.P. Machine & Engineering, Co. is hiring a CNC machine operator for our *Second Shift*. Our Second Shift runs Monday through Thursday, 4 PM to 2 AM Central Time with opportunities for overtime available when workload allows.
We are a leading precision machine shop located in Powers, Michigan. We’ve been in business for over 55 years and pride ourselves on our strong relationships with both our employees and our customers. We are a small, close-knit family owned company (and we mean it). Everyone here is treated like family, and nobody ever really leaves until retirement.
This is a place for people with integrity, self-confidence, and a positive attitude. We have an awesome team of people that genuinely get along and work well together. If you are interested in getting to know some very intelligent, very cool people, this could be a great opportunity to get into our shop.
We are interested in attracting and retaining good people that can continue to adapt and learn on the job. We train people to be well rounded CNC machinists, not just operators or "button pushers". Regardless of your experience, if you want to learn and can demonstrate the capacity to retain information and master new skills, we will provide the training and opportunity for you to become an excellent CNC machinist.
