Mathematics Expert (PhD)

This role is for one of Weekday's clients.We are currently helping hire for one of the leading AI labs (via one of our partners); supporting them in training their AI models.Have you been curious about how LLMs generate expert-level answers and wanted to contribute to their development? There are knowledge gaps in specialized fields like Mathematics , and we need your expertise to help strengthen these models (and in turn, advance human understanding of these areas).RequirementsWhat exactly would you do?You'll be working with research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in the Mathematics domain.You will be creating and evaluating advanced mathematical problems and solutions, providing clear written feedback.RequirementsEducation: PhD in Mathematics from a top US, UK, Canadian, or European universityWork experience: 2+ years of academic (research/teaching) or professional (scientist, researcher, or engineer) experienceSkills: Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in EnglishLocation: Remote (must be based in the US, UK, Canada, or Europe)BenefitsCompensation: $60 to $80 per hourTime commitment: 15–20 hours per week (with the possibility of extending to ~40)Project duration: Minimum 1–2 months, with rolling extensionsFully remote, asynchronous work that is flexible and adaptable to your scheduleYou will be engaged as an independent contractor and paid weekly via Stripe Connect
