Job Description
The Benefits Representative plays a crucial role serving as the primary resource for general benefits administration, benefits escalations, and leave and unemployment administration. This role acts as a liaison between employees and the benefits broker supporting the administration of benefits programs such as health benefits, FSA and commuter benefits for the contractor population. This position requires strong customer service skills to handle a high volume of calls and emails while ensuring accurate processing of benefit and leave requests, maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer support in a high-volume setting, managing both benefits escalation calls and email inquiries
Act as a liaison between climbers, Benefit Broker, insurers, etc. for utilizing knowledge and experience to resolve benefit escalations
Process requests received by mail including court orders, medical support orders, and official request for employee benefit and employment records
Partner with BPA and Corporate Payroll Analyst to reconcile benefit data between company records and Broker
Obtain a thorough understanding of all company benefit offerings and future changes
Administer leave of absence requests, including but not limited to FMLA, State PFML, STD, and parental leave
Analyze leave requests to determine eligibility, certification, payment calculations, payments and/or adjustments in compliance with paid leave plans, policies, and state and federal regulations.
Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion in accordance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements • Complete ad hoc projects and reporting as necessary
Skills & Requirements:
2-3 years' experience in a customer service capacity with a concentration in Benefits or Leave preferred
High school diploma; some college preferred
Proficient in MS Excel and Word
Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred
Outstanding customer service skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Action oriented and able to prioritize while handling multiple tasks
Ability to protect and maintain the confidentiality of data

Hourly Base Compensation:$19.23- $20.50
