We are a family of over 800 dedicated associates working toward a common goal, where the customer is at the center of every decision we make.Westland Distributing is currently looking for an HVAC Helper to join our team in our Phoenix, AZ location. In this role, you will assist with the installation and service of HVAC systems and related equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the installation and servicing of HVAC systems and related equipmentFollow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable codes/regulationsPre-measure jobs to determine materials needed for each projectLoad, verify, and maintain equipment and materials on service vehiclesPerform basic appliance installations as neededComplete required paperwork accurately and timelyTake readings using test instruments and understand their importanceCommunicate job status and any delays with dispatcher or supervisorMaintain company vehicle and report maintenance needsProvide professional, respectful service to all customersSupport team members and perform additional duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED requiredEPA 608 Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify HVAC equipmentValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work overtime and on-call as neededTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to learnWhat We're Looking ForDependable and honest individual with a strong work ethicSafety-conscious and detail-orientedCustomer-focused with a professional attitudeSelf-motivated with the ability to take direction and learn quicklyPositive team player committed to quality workWhy Join Westland Distributing?Competitive payComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, disability)401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities within a stable, growing organization
