Material Handler / Package Handler

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary A Material Handler I manages the physicalreceipt, tallying, storage, and distribution of all materials (primarilyraw materials and parts) throughout the facility. Use of industrialwarehouse equipment, such as electric lifts, while loading, unloadingand moving material is required. This position also sorts and maintainsthe flow of material, and verifies, through visual inspection, that thematerial is identified per the packing list. Daily equipment checks areAlso Performed. Essential Functions Job Responsibilities Unload Trucksby hand or with the use of manual and/or electric pallet jacks or heavyequipment. Operate and safely drive powered industrial trucks includingdriving test completion. Perform equipment safety checks. Organize andtally received shipments. Accurately record and report inventoryreceived, damages, and discrepancies. Accurately maintain legiblerecords and scanning for inventory. Create pick lists to facilitatepicking of inventory. Pick and deliver parts from warehouse locations tothe production lines. Read, comprehend, and follow SOP instructions.Ensure and follow safety requirements and standards. Keep the work areaclean and orderly. Perform all duties in a manner that follows,demonstrates, and promotes Company\'s values. Report to work asscheduled, on time, and able to work entire work schedule. Performadditional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Ability tosafely operate or become trained on warehouse equipment such as electrictuggers and order pickers. Ability to safely operate hand equipment suchas manual pallet jack. Skill and ability to follow and performCompany\'s safe lifting procedures. Possess effective written and oralcommunication skills. Basic math skills for inventory related tasks.Ability to prioritize workload and follow instructions. Ability tomultitask. Basic level skills using computer applications (email,enterprise software). Adaptable and responsive to changing businessneeds. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Ability to workeffectively both independently and within a team environment. Ability toobserve and identify details. Ability to work extended hours asscheduled, including weekends. Physical Demands Frequent wristmanipulation, walking, and standing. Frequent bending, stooping,pushing, pulling, and twisting. Frequently perform medium work withindependent lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasionally perform heavy workwith team lifting up to 75 pounds. Perform continuous active lifting forthe majority of the shift. Manual dexterity to move and lift product andpackages. Manual dexterity to type and operate office and warehouseequipment frequently. Must be able to complete all physical requirementsTo Perform Essential Functions. Working Environment Standard Workingconditions include a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.Hot and cold outdoor temperature conditions while unloading trailers.\*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Required: oExperience and proven ability to work effectively both independently andwithin a team environment.
