We're a hands-on team that values experience, accountability, and people who take pride in their work.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Marine Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on waterfront and marine-based projects. This role involves managing projects such as dredging, sheet pile installation, shoreline stabilization, and marine infrastructure construction. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in marine environments and is confident coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors in conditions involving water access, tides, and specialized marine equipment.Typical scopes of work include dredge work, sheet pile installation, carpentry work, stormwater system installation, concrete work and erosion control structure installation. The Superintendent coordinates with the Project Management Team.Qualifications3-5+ years experience as a Superintendent in marine construction (REQUIRED)Proven experience with dredging, sheet pile installation, marine piling, or shoreline stabilizationStrong understanding of construction scheduling, planning, and executionValid driver's license and willingness to travel as neededPreferred ExperienceExperience working with barges, cranes, or amphibious equipmentFamiliarity with dewatering and erosion control in marine environmentsKnowledge of environmental or coastal regulationsExperience working in fluctuating water levels and tidal conditionsRequirementsMust be professional and a personable leader committed to the overall project objective and self-development within the company.Must be able to effectively direct, supervise and motivate a project team.Must be able to drive project forward by forecasting work and maintaining a steady work progression.Must be able to accurately forecast and monitor work schedule to ensure on-time completion. Must be punctual and accountable and maintain a valid driver's license.Must have knowledge of the language (vocabulary) used in the construction trade.Protective safety gear (hard hat, boots, high-vis vest or shirt, eye wear)Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesLead daily field operations on marine and waterfront construction projectsCoordinate material and equipment logistics including mobilization, access, and equipment stagingPlan and execute work around tides, water levels, and weather conditionsOversee installation of marine structures such as sheet pile, docks, and erosion control systemsManage subcontractors, suppliers, and site crewsMaintain and update construction schedulesEnsure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulationsMonitor labor, and equipment usageCommunicate effectively with project managers, clients, and design teamsThis Role May Not Be a Fit IfThis role is not suited for candidates with only residential or vertical building construction experience.
