Position Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to drive profitable equipment sales, rental, service and parts business within the designated territory.
Your primary job duties:
Engage and assist customers in their Bobcat equipment inquiries and purchasing needs.
Must be able to articulate the features of Bobcat products, how those features fit customers’ needs, and calculate margins and profits
Identify potential customer base in the branch’s primary market area
Look for new ways to expand the market for Bobcat products
Investigate prospects through using face to face interactions, phone calls, and digital communication skills
Maintain a Customer Relationship Management system inclusive of:
Updating customer information when necessary
Maintain documentation of entire sales process and all efforts made (i.e. initial conversation, quoting, negotiating, notation of won or lost deal, etc.) inside of CRM for every customer interaction
Document necessary updates in the Bobcat CRM for leads they send directly
Actively participate in associations the Company utilizes to support and/or increase the customer base
Participate in sales meetings with management and team to discuss sales progress and new ideas to increase sales
Achieve sales objectives within designated budgets
Assist in the planning of advertising and promotional activities
Maintain Company’s image in all activities and promotional materials
Work closely with management and all other departments including Parts, Rental, and Service, and your Sales counterparts to ensure support of the customer and storefront
Work with the office team members to ensure that:
All invoices are properly prepared and submitted
All credits and incentives are filed and received
Appropriate financing documents are timely filed
Money from sales is collected from customers
Expense Reports are completed correctly and timely
Perform additional tasks and/or duties as assigned.
Your knowledge, skills, abilities, and more:
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience working in a sales role, preferable
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Class-A CDL or willingness to obtain one
Understanding industry terminology and can explain it to others in an effective manner.
Experience with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Competitive sales approach with ability to be self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
