About the CompanyBrooksource is a technology staffing and consulting firm that connects skilled technology professionals with organizations working on innovative digital solutions.For this opportunity, the selected engineer will support a fraud detection software platform developed for a Fortune 50 health insurance organization.About the RoleBrooksource is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join an Agile development team working on fraud detection technology.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern JavaScript technologies, particularly Node.js and React, along with a strong interest in developing reliable and user-friendly frontend applications.This position is well suited for an early-career software engineer who wants to expand their full-stack development skills while contributing to a high-impact technology platform.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, and maintain frontend applications.Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React.Develop and support backend functionality using Node.js.Collaborate with software engineers and Agile team members to deliver application features.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.Participate in software testing and debugging activities.Support continuous improvements to application functionality and performance.Work closely with team members to understand technical and business requirements.Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, standups, and reviews.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.1–2 years of professional software development experience.Strong knowledge of React.Experience with Node.js.Understanding of frontend application development.Familiarity with full-stack development concepts.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.Good communication and collaboration skills.Preferred SkillsExperience developing applications in a healthcare or insurance environment.Familiarity with fraud detection or data-driven applications.Knowledge of JavaScript and modern frontend development practices.Experience working with APIs and backend services.Familiarity with Agile and collaborative software development methodologies.Work EnvironmentThis is a fully remote opportunity within the United States.
