Senior Accountant The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Processing and reviewing accounts payable invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies Assisting in the preparation of 1099 reporting and filing with Federal and State agencies Management and reconciliation of company credit cards and expense reporting Reconciliation of general ledger account balances Preparation of financial statements Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses Assisting in the preparation of budgets for review by management Maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets schedules Provide ad hoc reporting as needed Compensation and Benefit Package: Competitive compensation package Medical, Dental, Vision & LTD insurance Paid vacation Employer-matching 401(k) profit sharing plan Group life insurance Skills and Qualifications: BS or BA degree in accounting (CPA a plus) Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial principles Understanding of tax concepts and reporting requirements Exposure to upstream oil and gas accounting is preferred, including joint interest billing, Revenue, AFE's, etc. Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Experience with oil and gas general ledger software (OGsys and DocVue Document Management) a plus Sound written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently and with a team Strong analytical skills Attention to detail Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
