Westlake, TXHybrid ScheduleContract via Fidelity TalentSourceNo C2C or third‐party submissionsRole SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions that ensure product quality across multiple business domains. In this role, you will collaborate with product, engineering, and cross‐functional teams to build scalable automation frameworks, enhance test coverage, and contribute to high‐quality, reliable software delivery in an Agile environment.The Expertise You BringBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field7+ years of professional experience in software testing and/or developmentHands-on experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent modern test frameworksProficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript, including working with Cucumber/BDD methodologiesStrong understanding of UI and API automation practices; experience with RESTful services and familiarity with GraphQL is a plusAbility to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full application stackExperience testing front-end applications built on Angular, Vue, or similar modern frameworksExposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Git-based tools, Jenkins, deployment automation tools)Familiarity with code quality and coverage tools (e.g., SonarQube, Sealights)Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and business groupsExperience building and maintaining test plans and test cases from business and technical requirementsInterest in learning new technologies and contributing to engineering best practicesExperience with Accessibility testing is preferredWhat You'll DoDefine, design, and implement automation test suites for a variety of digital productsCollaborate closely with product owners, developers, and QA peers to understand requirements, user workflows, and quality expectationsDevelop and maintain scalable test frameworks and reusable automation componentsRapidly prototype and validate new approaches to improve quality and coverageWrite, review, and maintain high-quality test code and supporting documentationEnsure solutions meet standards for security, performance, usability, and reliabilityMentor junior engineers and help elevate engineering and automation practices across teamsThe TeamYou will operate within an Agile team structure, working alongside developers, automation engineers, product owners, and technical leads. You will also engage with quality-focused communities of practice to align on standards, share learnings, and contribute to continuous improvement across business units.
