Wind Turbine Technician - SENVION

Level 2 - Field Role |100% Travel | SENVION Fleet SupportAbout The RoleSky Climber Renewables (SCR) is seeking Senvion Experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to support active Senvion wind turbine service and retrofit scopes across U.S. wind projects. This role is designed for technicians who have sufficient Senvion experience and can be deployed quickly into the field with minimal ramp-up.This is not an entry-level role and not a generic travel technician position. This role exists to provide Senvion-experienced technicians who understand Senion controller operation, turbine systems, and basic Lock-out-tag-out procedures and can operate competently from day one.What You’ll DoDeploy as part of SCR’s qualified field workforce primarily supporting Senvion wind turbine projects, as well as other wind turbine platformsOperate a Senvion turbine controller on Senvion MM82 and MM92 variants for basic functions (stop, start, pause, yaw, etc.)Perform Senvion-specific Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in support of mechanical, electrical, and inspection scopes (if applicable)Travel 100% on a rotational basis to various wind projects across the U.S.Support turbine inspections, maintenance, and service activities Execute work in accordance with SCR procedures, SCR safety expectations and customer requirements,Follow defined work instructions, maintenance schedules, and task plansAssist with troubleshooting and diagnostic activities within scope and trainingComplete all required company and client documentation accurately and on timeMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and compliant conditionOperate company and customer vehicles safely and in compliance with SCR policiesEscalate technical or safety issues appropriately through defined channelsPerform additional work activities as directed to support project executionCertifications & Activation Requirements (Required)Global Wind Organization (GWO) certifications Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), Advanced Rescue Training (ART) or ability to obtain through SCR trainingAbility to maintain required certifications including OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED, First AidTechnical Qualifications2-3 years of Senvion MM82 and MM92 specific maintenance experience including controller operationSenion specific LOTO training and /or experience is a plus but not requiredWind industry experience supporting mechanical and/or electrical service activitiesUnderstanding of basic AC/DC electrical circuitsAbility to verify electrical connections and follow schematics and work instructionsProficiency using standard hand and power tools required for wind turbine serviceAbility to follow work procedures precisely and consistentlyStrong focus on safety compliance, task execution, and documentation accuracyAbility to work effectively in structured, rule-driven environmentsProfessional ExpectationsStrict adherence to OSHA, customer, and SCR safety policiesProfessional conduct, appearance, and communication on siteAbility to work independently or as part of a crewWillingness to receive direction and follow established processesProactive communication of risks, issues, or delaysPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to climb wind turbines vertically 300 feet or moreAbility to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbsAbility to work indoors or outdoors in varying and adverse weather conditionsExposure to high and low ambient temperaturesWeight requirement of 120-280 lbs, including clothing, boots, and standard personal protective equipmentEmployment ConditionsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass background check(s) and drug screeningThis is a safety-sensitive position per SENVION and SCR requirementsAbout Sky Climber RenewablesSky Climber Renewables (SCR) provides specialized field services to the utility-scale wind industry across North America.
