Park County Government Job Postings◄ Back to All CategoriesClerk & Recorder - Deputy Clerk (Motor Vehicle)General Purpose: Under general supervision, the Deputy Clerk I perform a variety of clerical and customer service work in support of the motor vehicles division, primarily, of the Clerk & Recorder's Office, ensuring compliance with statues and mandates that govern motor vehicle regulations for titling and/or registration of vehicles in Park County. This position also provides support to the recording and election divisions of the Clerk & Recorder's Office.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Motor Vehicle Duties:Process all motor vehicle transactions including, but not limited to, renewals and titlesUpdate motor vehicle manuals Ability to keep inventory updated in the system and in stockPrepare reports including end-of-day, extractsTitle batching Other Duties Related To Recording And ElectionsProvide customer service support for the recording operations in producing copies of documents or giving assistance for research to citizensProvide clerical support to the elections operations in assisting with voter registration, mailings, and other election-related tasks.This position may be required to travel to other areas of the county for job duties and outside of the county for training.Other related duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesAbility to use technology to perform a variety of complex tasksAbility to monitor and review own work for accuracy and thoroughnessAbility to multi-task and to plan and prioritize assignmentsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verballyAbility to read, interpret and analyze information Ability to follow procedures and policiesAbility to react under pressure in a professional manner and to approach difficult situations in a tactful manner Nature of Contact with others required for successful job performance: Ability to effectively communicate, in a tactful manner, communicate information to the general public who, at times, may be upset.
