DESCRIPTIONThe Houseman / Rover is the quiet engine behind the guest experience-moving fluidly across departments to ensure the property is clean, maintained, and operating seamlessly. This role supports housekeeping, food & beverage, and light maintenance needs, stepping in wherever needed to keep the hotel running at its highest standard. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role ideal for someone who takes pride in details, enjoys variety in their day, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping SupportAssist room attendants with stripping rooms, removing trash, and replenishing linens and supplies Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas, carts, and linen rooms Deliver linens, towels, and amenities to guest rooms and team members as needed Support deep cleaning projects and Perfect Room Program (PRP) initiatives Public AreasMaintain cleanliness of all public spaces including lobby, pool areas, restrooms, pathways, and back-of-house areas Ensure pool deck, lounge areas, and outdoor spaces are consistently guest-ready Monitor and restock guest amenities throughout the property Dishwashing / F&B SupportOperate dishwashing station efficiently and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dish areas Assist with clearing tables, resetting spaces, and supporting service periods when needed Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety guidelines Light MaintenancePerform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, tightening fixtures, and basic touch-ups Report maintenance issues promptly to management Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and vendor coordination when needed General Rover DutiesRespond quickly to guest and team requests across departments Support special projects, events, and operational needs as they arise Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact guests REQUIREMENTSHoliday House Palm Springs is a design-forward boutique hotel known for its relaxed, elevated atmosphere and thoughtful guest experience.
