Job SummaryThe Facility Technician III at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and consistent function of all facility equipment and components while supporting team and design development and optimization. This role utilizes technical, organizational, and communication skills to resolve issues, guide task execution according to technical plans and codes, identify opportunities for overall system improvement, maintain accurate records, support the professional development of junior team members, and engage with customers, personnel, and external parties to quickly and effectively address needs to ensure ongoing satisfaction and quality care.System Management/Enhancement JOB FUNCTIONS Ensures that Facility systems are operated and maintained in a safe and effective manner. Understands, troubleshoots and problem solve issues of basic complexity in mechanical, plumbing, electrical, hvac, structural, and architectural systems/areas. Reviews design modifications and recommendations to improve the overall system performance. Performs system efficiency evaluations. Operates, inspects, maintains, and/or troubleshoot systems and components. Reviews design documents and monitors system performance/system efficiency. Plans, organizes and implements projects. Customer Service: Provides multi-skilled support focused on customer service, quality, cost and productivity. Document Interpretation: Interprets blueprints, technical plans/drawings and manufacturer publications. Applies the appropriate codes needed for efficient and effective operation of various facility systems and components. Provides interpretation and application of related codes, diagrams, drawings, specifications, and manufacturer’s manuals. Reporting: Analyzes information/data and evaluates results to determine best solution to problem/issue. Maintains record of repairs and/or maintenance. Performs and records system efficiency evaluations. Education: Stays abreast of changes to applicable systems and components. Educates “junior staff” members. Regulation: Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines. Complies with appropriate Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues.Qualifications Education Associate's Degree or advanced training with equivalent experience. Required High School Diploma or GED Equivalent willing to accept HS Diploma with 4 years experience beyond the minimum requirement. Required Licenses and Certifications DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in StateWork Experience 1-3 years. Minimum of 1 year experience.
