This role connects customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to keep work moving efficiently across the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working across teams to solve problems and keep schedules on track.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning and SchedulingDevelop and maintain production schedules based on customer forecasts, orders, and internal capacityDistribute production schedules and work orders to appropriate departmentsAdjust schedules as needed due to design changes, material shortages, labor constraints, or other disruptionsReview production documents, staffing plans, and material requirements to set prioritiesIssue shop orders for manufacturing and delivery instructions for finished goodsOrder and Customer CoordinationManage customer forecasts and order entries in line with customer agreementsIssue order acknowledgements and coordinate delivery timelinesInterface regularly with customers, key account managers, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure alignmentResolve delays, complaints, or scheduling conflicts by collaborating with internal teams and external partnersMaterials and Logistics CoordinationArrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of materials and parts to support production timelinesMonitor material flow and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to avoid shortages or bottlenecksSet and maintain MRP parameters for assigned parts in accordance with planning policiesMonitoring, Reporting, and Continuous ImprovementTrack production progress, material usage, inventory levels, and performance metricsPrepare and share status reports related to production schedules and commitmentsMonitor work processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specificationsReport on assigned KPIs and participate in company improvement initiatives and projectsDocumentation and CompliancePrepare and maintain documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and purchase or maintenance ordersFollow all quality system procedures and maintain compliance with internal standardsSupport and maintain 5S practices within the work environmentGeneralCollaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to assess progress and identify needed adjustmentsSupport business units, programs, or jobs by planning production commitments and timelinesPerform additional job-related duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsExperience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operationsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing demandsEffective communication skills and comfort working cross-functionallyExperience using ERP/MRP systemsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business softwarePreferred QualificationsHighly skilled in complex problem solvingAdvanced skills in MS ExcelKnowledge of circuit boards, processors, and electronic equipmentWORKING CONDITIONSTypical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required.
