PCSS Student Technician 2026 - 2027

JOB SUMMARYStudent Laptop Technicians provide technical support in the Technical Support Services Area in Corrigan Hall, Innovation Hub and around campus. Student Technicians are responsible for providing software and hardware technical support and troubleshooting for members of the Seton Hall community. Student technicians will document all work done in various databases as warranted. In addition, Student Technicians are expected to provide excellent customer service at all times.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESStudent Technicians will be responsible for:Greeting customers warmly and ascertaining the issue or reason for coming inDiagnosing and documenting laptop related issuesSoftware installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenanceServicing laptop hardware related issues and/or sending laptops for further repairEntering all walk-in requests into the JIRA database as well as checking on the status of current database requestsRefilling printer paper, toner, and drums around campusGoing out to service faculty or lab computers around campusWorking on extra projects and tasks as needed between day-to-day operations.Working with University Systems in development, implementation, troubleshooting, and training.
