We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and flexible schedules.Purpose: To provide each assigned resident with routine daily nursing care and services in a safe, timely and accurate manner in accordance with state and federal requirements and the policies and goals of this facilityCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Responsibilities:Performs all personal care activities under the direction of an RN and which may include, but not be limited to, assisting the patient or client with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transferMaintenance of a clean, safe and healthy environmentOther activities as taught by a licensed health professional employeeAssisting with tasks associated with elimination including, but not limited to toileting, assisting with the use of the bedpan and urinal, providing catheter care including changing the urinary catheter bag, collecting specimens, and/or emptying ostomy bags, or changing bags that do not adhere to the skin.Assisting with the use of devices such as a wheelchair or walkerAssisting with the prescribed range of motion exercisesMeasuring intake and output of fluidsMeasuring temperature, pulse, respiration or blood pressure.Keeping records of personal health care activities.Observing appearance and gross behavioral changes in the patient and reporting to the RN.Receive and give accurate and concise report at the beginning and end of your shiftAssist with activities of daily living according to each resident's C.N.A. care planEnsure residents appear neat, clean and well-cared for at all timesReport any refusal of care to the charge nurseMaintain hydration and nutritional status of each resident according to their plan of careSpeak only in the resident's language in and around their roomKnock on the resident's door before entering the roomMaintain confidentiality, privacy and dignity at all timesCall lights are kept within reach of each residentAnswer call lights and alarms immediatelySafety equipment such as lifts and gait belts are used according to facility policyComplete all documentation accurately before the end of the shiftNotify the charge nurse or unit manager immediately of any change in a resident's conditionNotify charge nurse or unit manager immediately of accidents, incidents or complaintsReport suspicions of abuse or misappropriation of resident property immediatelyComplete assigned duties completely and accurately without promptingBenefits:403BDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offEmployee DiscountsSchedule:8 hour shiftDay, Evening, NightHolidaysWeekendsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeRequirementsNew graduates accepted - 1-year experience preferredCurrently registered as a CNA in the state of MassachusettsCNA: 1 year (Preferred)Long-term care experience is desirableComputer literacy is desirableExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facilityAble to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds for at least 50 feet with or without the aid of mechanical devices
