A Coltons Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, consistently meeting the highest quality and taste standards. The primary goal is excellent food quality, efficiency and ultimately guest satisfaction. Steaks are cut by hand there is a focus on fresh ingredients and food prepared to order .Starting pay varies according to experience and availability. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Cook preferred but not required. Essential qualities include:Reliability and punctualityWillingness to learn and ability to take directionAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skillsAttention to detail Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, cooking temperatures, and food safety practices including safe food time/temperature minimums. Familiarity with different types of grills, equipment, and grilling tools. Ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines accurately. Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot environment. Responsibilities: Set up and prepare the grill station for daily operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper equipment function. Receive and review food orders to determine the type and quantity of items to be grilled. Follow recipes and customer preferences to prepare, season and/or marinate meats, seafood, vegetables, eggs, and other ingredients as required. Operate and monitor the grill to ensure precise cooking temperatures and timing. Grill menu items according to specifications, adjusting cooking times and heat levels as needed. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures. Handle, store, and rotate food products properly to minimize waste and maintain freshness. Keep the grill area clean, organized, and sanitized. Conduct regular checks on grilled items for taste, appearance, and temperature to ensure customer satisfaction. Address any concerns or issues promptly and take corrective actions as necessary. Coordinate with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of grilled items. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations, minimize delays, and promote teamwork. Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels for grill station ingredients. Notify the supervisor or manager when supplies are running low to ensure timely replenishment. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately. Professionalism: Neat, clean appearance, practices excellent personal hygiene, speaks in a pleasant tone of voice, and avoids slang terms.Required qualifications:Legally authorized to work in the United States16 years or older
