The Lead Financial Specialist will collaborate closely with our analytics team as well as product directors and senior leadership to oversee the financial management and reporting for our practice. They will provide strong analytical and financial acumen, champion better ways of reporting, budgeting and financial forecasting, and serve as a subject matter expert. Projects will include construction, validation, and documentation of new financial processes, reports, and dashboards. This role will direct and assist in process related to monthly financials, P&L and revenue forecasting, budgets and expense tracking, and measuring the return of investment for key initiatives.What You Will Be DoingThe key area of responsibility in the role of Lead Financial Specialist is to work in conjunction with our analytics teams, product owners, business leaders, and senior leadership to manage all the various aspects of our finances:Direct monthly financial analysis, including trends, variances, and opportunity identification for IntelliScript’s business segments; communicate results and insights to practice leadershipMaintain tooling and processes to help set, forecast, and track budgets to provide expense transparency across the practiceSupport the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes, including preparation of financial models, participation in budget discussions, and maintaining key planning toolsEnhance financial reporting to drive decision-making and insights, margin improvement, and operational efficiencyPartner with internal stakeholders in accounting and billing teams to understand and provide insight into the practice’s financial operationsPrepare and automate key financial reports with a focus on clarity and accuracyBuild and refine financial models to assess new business opportunities and strategic initiativesSupport ad hoc financial analysis and projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentWhat We Need10+ years of professional experience in finance or accountingExperience developing budgets and performing financial analysisDetailed-oriented with collaboration mindsetExperience with, or a proven ability to quickly learn, new technologies to develop and present financial insights using dashboards such as PowerBIExperience in Microsoft ExcelWhat You Bring To The TableExcellent communication skills, in person and through phone / emailAbility to understand and clearly communicate financial results at the appropriate level of detail for internal stakeholders and IntelliScript Lead managementFocused on results and able to explain findings in a way that answers business problemsConstructive, “can do” approach to overcoming obstaclesCan quickly learn new techniques and technologiesProactive in identifying process improvementsStrong work ethic, willing to pitch in wherever neededThrive in a small team, without micromanagementAbility to manage projects and timelines and work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team Wish ListDegree in a relevant field (accounting, finance)PowerBI, SQL, and Databricks experienceLocationThe expected application deadline for this job is April 30, 2026. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed and travel nationwide for meetings, conferences, and team events.CompensationThe overall salary range for this role is $93,700 - $222,985.For Candidates Residing In Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:$107,755 - $177,675 if overall experience is less than 10 years; and $135,125 - $222,985 for experience greater than 10 years.
