Manager, Bridge Program – Hospital Advocacy and Crisis Intervention
Kansas City, MO. Rose Brooks Center, a nonprofit domestic violence agency, is currently seeking a full-time Manager, Bridge Program – Hospital Advocacy and Crisis Intervention.This position is responsible for the supervision and leadership of the Bridge staff in the provision of advocacy and crisis intervention services at local hospitals and health clinics; additionally, this position provides back-up for provision of advocacy and crisis intervention services in the healthcare setting. In partnership with the Director of Community Programs, this position will ensure advocacy and crisis intervention services are consistent with Rose Brooks Center’s quality standard, principles of trauma informed care, accessibility, and targets for outcomes and productivity. Other responsibilities include grant reporting, quality programming and improvements. This position works collaboratively with other internal staff and health system partners in the provision of advocacy and crisis intervention services.Other Aspects Of The PositionPerform all job responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and procedures, while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and utilizing the principles of trauma informed care, and accessibility; demonstrates a commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.Maintain awareness about the risks of secondary trauma and understand one’s own responsibility of self-care.Attend scheduled staff, team and supervision meetings; participate in all required trainings.This position manages the dispatching of workday Bridge referrals.QualificationsRequired Education, Experience and Skills:Two years’ advocacy experience, preferably working with vulnerable populations in a domestic violence agency and/or hospital, or commensurate experienceOne year supervisory/demonstrated leadership experienceExperience providing training and consultation related to domestic violence dynamics and policiesProgram development and project management experienceThorough knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and best practicesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, both internally and externallyEffective verbal and written communication skills, including training and facilitation skillsProficient use of MS Office/Windows operating system and programsValid driver’s license and proof of liability insurancePreferred Education, Experience And SkillsBachelor’s degree in social work/human services, or a related field or commensurate experienceKnowledgeable of hospital or health care operationsExperience providing domestic violence advocacy servicesBilingual English/Spanish preferredHoursThis is a full-time, exempt position and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. The Bridge Program Manager works in an office environment, with some work done in a healthcare setting, and requires limited local travel. It is primarily a Monday-Friday position but may include evening and weekend hours.CompensationThis position falls into a salary range starting at $53,000 annually (exempt).
