ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a highly motivated 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead overnight operations within Flex manufacturing. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth shift execution across both production and inspection functions, with full accountability for meeting production targets and maintaining operator readiness.
This position operates in a low-support environment (limited engineering and maintenance coverage), requiring strong independent decision-making, ownership, and consistent follow-through to ensure stable and predictable execution.
SHIFT: 8:30 PM – 7:30 AM
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shift Execution & Production Flow
Ensure smooth operation of all production and inspection activities during the shift
Monitor WIP flow across all operations to identify and address bottlenecks
Drive execution of production goals and ensure alignment to schedule priorities
Take immediate corrective action to recover performance when targets are at risk
Staffing & Coverage
Manage staffing assignments in real time to maintain coverage and flow
Adjust labor allocation based on workload, priorities, and constraints
Training & Operator Readiness
Oversee operator training progress and readiness for independent work
Ensure operators are following standardized work and process requirements
Reinforce proper escalation behaviors (stop and escalate vs. working through issues)
Quality & Process Control
Ensure adherence to work instructions, travelers, and process requirements
Take ownership of quality containment decisions when issues arise
Stop production when necessary to protect product quality
Decision-Making & Escalation
Independently identify and resolve production issues in real time
Initiate engineering or maintenance escalation when required
Operate effectively with limited off-shift support resources
Communication & Shift Handoffs
Provide clear and accurate communication of WIP status, risks, and open issues
Ensure effective transition between shifts with no loss of information
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
3–5 years of manufacturing experience with progressively increasing responsibility
Demonstrated ability to manage production activities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Prior leadership experience (Lead or Supervisor role)
Experience in flexible circuit manufacturing
Working understanding of both production and inspection processes
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This role has full authority during the shift to:
Adjust staffing assignments as needed
Stop production for quality or process concerns
Initiate maintenance and engineering escalation
The Supervisor is accountable for:
On-time job completion and delivery performance
Operator readiness and training effectiveness

SALARY RANGE: $70,000-$95,000 annually. This is the full salary range for this position. Most new hires can expect to start around $70,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
