Tech Etch operates facilities in Plymouth, MA, Fall River, MA, and Litchfield, MN.About The JobWe are seeking a highly motivated 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead overnight operations within Flex manufacturing. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth shift execution across both production and inspection functions, with full accountability for meeting production targets and maintaining operator readiness.This position operates in a low-support environment (limited engineering and maintenance coverage), requiring strong independent decision-making, ownership, and consistent follow-through to ensure stable and predictable execution.SHIFT: 8:30 PM – 7:30 AMResponsibilitiesShift Execution & Production FlowEnsure smooth operation of all production and inspection activities during the shiftMonitor WIP flow across all operations to identify and address bottlenecksDrive execution of production goals and ensure alignment to schedule prioritiesTake immediate corrective action to recover performance when targets are at riskStaffing & CoverageManage staffing assignments in real time to maintain coverage and flowAdjust labor allocation based on workload, priorities, and constraintsTraining & Operator ReadinessOversee operator training progress and readiness for independent workEnsure operators are following standardized work and process requirementsReinforce proper escalation behaviors (stop and escalate vs. working through issues)Quality & Process ControlEnsure adherence to work instructions, travelers, and process requirementsTake ownership of quality containment decisions when issues ariseStop production when necessary to protect product qualityDecision-Making & EscalationIndependently identify and resolve production issues in real timeInitiate engineering or maintenance escalation when requiredOperate effectively with limited off-shift support resourcesCommunication & Shift HandoffsProvide clear and accurate communication of WIP status, risks, and open issuesEnsure effective transition between shifts with no loss of informationQualificationsRequired3–5 years of manufacturing experience with progressively increasing responsibilityDemonstrated ability to manage production activities in a fast-paced environmentPreferredPrior leadership experience (Lead or Supervisor role)Experience in flexible circuit manufacturingWorking understanding of both production and inspection processesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This Role Has Full Authority During The Shift ToAdjust staffing assignments as neededStop production for quality or process concernsInitiate maintenance and engineering escalationThe Supervisor Is Accountable ForOn-time job completion and delivery performanceOperator readiness and training effectivenessBenefitsCompetitive Pay with Bonus PotentialEmployee Stock Ownership20 Vacation Days + 10 HolidaysLow-Cost Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Life InsuranceFlex Spending Accounts401k with Company MatchWellness Incentive ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramProfessional Development & Career Advancement PathwaysTuition Assistance ProgramQuarterly & Personal Performance Bonus OpportunitiesSALARY RANGE: $70,000-$95,000 annually. This is the full salary range for this position. Most new hires can expect to start around $70,000.
