Temporary Senior Payroll AnalystLocation: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)Duration: 3–6 Month ContractOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to support payroll operations during a major acquisition. This role will partner closely with the Payroll and Stock Administration teams to ensure accurate processing of equity-related payroll events, supplemental compensation, and payroll tax reporting. The ideal candidate has advanced Workday Payroll experience, a strong understanding of U.S. payroll tax regulations, and the ability to reconcile large datasets in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesProcess acquisition-related payroll events, including equity settlements, bonuses, commissions, PTO payouts, and expense reimbursements.Review and reconcile payroll data, tax calculations, and employee settlement information.Execute supplemental payroll tax calculations and ensure accurate federal and state tax withholding.Create and maintain Workday reports, EIBs, and reconciliation files to support payroll processing.Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.Support 401(k) processing, time tracking, and employee payroll inquiries.Partner with Payroll and Stock Administration teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations.Qualifications5+ years of U.S. payroll processing experience.Advanced Workday Payroll experience, including EIBs, reporting, payroll tax configuration, and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and W-2 reporting.Advanced Excel skills with experience reconciling large datasets.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.CPP certification and/or experience supporting equity-related payroll transactions is a plus.
