Deployed Engineer

Apex manufactures commercial satellite buses and related aerospace products. This Deployed Engineer role is a customer-facing software engineering position responsible for supporting the delivery, integration, and adoption of Apex's software-enabled products including virtual flatsats, bus emulators, electrical ground support equipment, and test tools. What You'll Do Serve as the primary technical software interface for customers, providing day-to-day support across Apex vehicles and customer integration environments Support flight software and ground software compatibility, helping customers bring Apex-provided tools online Troubleshoot complex technical systems and resolve software and system-level issues in lab, integration, and customer environments Travel to customer sites and work hands-on alongside customers to solve technical problems directly Help define processes, documentation, escalation paths, and operating models for scaling customer deployments across Apex's product portfolio What You Need Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related technical field Strong software engineering background with experience building, debugging, integrating, or supporting software-enabled technical products Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems in lab, integration, production, field, or customer environments Experience with Linux, Python, C/C++, networking, test automation, or APIs Strong customer-facing communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to engineering and non-engineering audiences Nice to Have Experience with aerospace, spacecraft, satellites, avionics, ground systems, EGSE, or mission operations Experience supporting customer operation of virtual flatsats, bus emulators, EGSE test racks, or similar lab-based engineering systems Prior experience in field applications engineering, solutions engineering, deployed engineering, systems engineering, or customer-facing technical roles Familiarity with spacecraft bus architectures, flight software, ground software, telemetry, or command and control systems Equity in Apex 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision for you and dependents $100k life insurance 15-20+ days vacation plus 10 paid holidays 401(k) with 100% match on first 3% and 50% match on next 2% 8 weeks paid parental leave plus childcare reimbursement up to $350/day daily catered lunch and unlimited snacks #J-18808-Ljbffr
