For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com.Job Description:Role OverviewThe Technical Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing readiness, quality execution, and operational excellence across internal teams and global contract manufacturing partners. This role ensures successful New Product Introduction (NPI) ramp, production readiness, and consistent product quality through structured processes aligned with APQP and advanced manufacturing frameworks.The position requires strong cross‐functional leadership, working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Contract Manufacturing partners to ensure product designs are effectively transitioned into scalable, high‐quality manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop quality control plans and maintain product specifications for manufacturing operationsExecute NPI production ramp‐up and approval processes in accordance with Fluence internal procedures and APQP methodologyDevelop acceptance criteria for APQP projects and coordinate on‐site test run operationsPerform technical evaluations and prepare reports for NPI test runs, supplier and contract manufacturer audits, and root cause investigationsAssist Fluence test engineers in the design and execution of manufacturing end‐of‐line test plansSupport PFMEA reviews for new products with the Process Engineering team and horizontally apply lessons learned into quality control plansConsult with compliance subject matter experts and maintain factory certifications for contract manufacturing operationsMap existing workflows and lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardize and streamline manufacturing processesPartner with Fluence Operations Engineers to identify cost‐down opportunities and implement improvements at regional contract manufacturersDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures for manufacturing assembly processesRequired Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred5-10 years of experience in quality manufacturing or technical operationsKnowledge of ISO standards and experience supporting certification managementExperience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles; automated manufacturing experience is a plusDemonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and 5S conceptsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (advanced Excel focus), ERP systems, Quality Management Systems, and manufacturing databasesExperience with Six Sigma philosophy and quality methodologiesAdditional SkillsExperience working with global contract manufacturing partnersStrong cross‐functional communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced, operational environmentData‐driven mindset with strong analytical and problem‐solving skillsOur CultureAt Fluence, our culture is the foundation that drives our ambitious growth strategy and fuels our mission to transform the future of energy.
