Job Title - Line Cook with leadership Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and motivated line cook with a passion for excellence and a talent for leading a kitchen. This role is perfect for a seasoned cook to step into a leadership role while continuing to hone their cooking skills.
Responsibilities would include:
Preparing and cooking high quality food according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring all stations run smoothly and efficiently.
Lead, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Collaborate with the kitchen leads and owners on menu planning and daily specials.
Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Assist in inventory management, stocking, prepping, and ordering of supplies.
Required skills and qualifications:
Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a fast paced kitchen.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems on the fly.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
