Material Handler

Job Details Division: Nucor Data Systems Location: Frankfort, KY, United States Other Available Locations: N/ABasic Job Functions:Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of materials onto shelves or on pallets, racks, and/or cartsOperate forklift, crane, and combilift to move materials to storage or shipping areasLocates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production ordersLoading materials to trucks or designated areasMoving material from storage areas to loading areas for transport and to different departmentsOther duties as assigned and modifiable job responsibilities.Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience operating forkliftsAbility to use measuring tapeAbility to read and understand verbal and written instructionsPrior experience working in a warehouse and /or manufacturing companyBasic reading and writing skillsPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience as a Material Handler and Inventory ControlCertified to operate forkliftsKnowledge of storage procedures and planning proceduresKnowledge of 5S, Lean ManufacturingBilingual English/Spanish, preferredNucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
