AVAILABLE POSITION: Mortgage Funder - Lead (Paid) | Wichita, KS (Preference In-Person, Hybrid Eligible) COMPENSATION: $50,000 to $70,000 total compensation depending on experience (salary plus bonus) Focus Mortgage and one of its brands, WeVett Home Loans, is a fast-growing business looking to add a mortgage funder to our team. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Review closing packages, verify accuracy, and confirm all funding conditions are satisfied. Coordinate loan funding and wire requests with the warehouse bank and title/escrow offices per investor requirements. Manage warehouse line draws, paydowns, and reconcile daily funding activity. Ensure compliance with federal, state, investor, and internal funding requirements. Oversee post-closing documents and resolve investor or funding conditions quickly. Track funding pipeline and collaborate with teams to improve speed, accuracy, and processes. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Must Have Qualifications: The desire to serve military members. Associates Degree or higher. Minimum 12 months experience in Mortgage or Client Service Industry. Work experience with using complex logic and problem solving skills. Above average ability to work with numbers and basic finance calculations. Advanced computer experience - ability to multitask on dual monitors. Adaptable to a flexible, fast-changing industry. Self-motivated with strong work ethic. Ability to work with deadlines and take accountability for actions. Nice to Have Qualifications: Military experience (or knowing someone close who served). Handling escalated client service situations over the phone. Bachelors Degree or higher.
