As a software engineer for Data Science, you will be building distributed, scalable, fault tolerant software systems in support of data scientists and AI experts. You assist in entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI/CD and production operations. You must balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events leveraging a plethora of internal tooling at OCI. Must Have Candidate Qualifications: Experience working on distributed systems and building highly available services Must have at least 4+ years of professional work experience developing in Java,Python or Go Experience with RESTful API, microservices, Spring Framework, SQL, NoSQL Experience with Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure and/or GCP. Experience building AI/ML infrastructure and services is preferable. Software development experience working for a cloud provider is preferable What You'll Do: Build cloud service on top of the modern Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) building blocks at OCI Design and build distributed, scalable, fault tolerant software systems Participate in the entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI and production operations Participate in cloud service operational work like region builds, writing runbooks, ops automation, instrumentation for metrics and events Leverage internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy and troubleshoot software Take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software by working effectively with the team and other stakeholders Participate in on-call for the service with the team
